Zero Waste Charter
The Zero Waste Charter is a 10 point plan for achieving Zero Waste by 2020. You can download a copy here (.DOC).
Zero Waste Chartists
The Zero Waste Chartists were formed to support and promote the Zero Waste Charter.
They held their first conference in Oxford in early 2006, hosted by Oxford FoE: 'Towards Zero Waste'. Michael Warhurst was the keynote speaker and there was an excellent line-up of speakers. Their second conference was in November 2006 in Colchester: 'Zero Waste Solutions', homing in on the Somerset separate foodwaste bucket collections, following the Italian Enzo Favoino's model.
The third conference 'Real Recycling for Zero Waste' took place at Chelmsford on 28th June 2008, promoting the Campaign for Real Recycling, which is supported by FoE, CRN and all the major reprocessors who want clean recyclate from separated kerbside collections. A report of the conference can be found under Past Events.
They have just had their 2008 AGM and meeting following the conference and annual renewals are due. If you are interested you can download a membership application form (.DOC).
